Sunday, 6th January 08, 4.33pm – EuroAirport Basel

I am at the airport right now and waiting for my Gate to open. My back hurts, my hands hurt, I’m sweaty... it’s really not fun at all. But geez... I can’t believe it. I can’t believe I really managed to put everything I wanted to take with me into that suitcase, I can’t believe they let me in with a pretty big hand-luggage AND a bag, I can’t believe I’m about to go to Scotland and live there for eight whole months. It’s so weird... but right now I’m just fucking happy that the check in and control went pretty good. Haha... I just looked at my bag... it’s full of piano sheet music. I know I’m most probably not gonna have access to a piano but I couldn’t help but take them with me. I just need to play the piano. There’s no way I’m not gonna play it for eight months. I mean, come on, there has to be a piano somewhere in Edinburgh that I’m allowed to play on! I’d even pay for it. Honestly.

Gah, you can’t believe how relieved I feel. I was almost breaking down mentally earlier today and yesterday. I had problems with the suitcase, it wouldn’t close, I didn’t know if I was allowed to take a hand-luggage and a bag with me, everything was way to heavy, everyone asked me if I was excited... but all I really wanted was just press „pause“ for a minute and just... stop. Stop thinking, stop worrying, stop packing, stop. Just stop. And now I gotta stop too. Stop writing, take my iPod, listen to my music, wait for my Gate to be opened and just relax. Yeah… that’s all I need to be happy right now. I wouldn’t mind a cigarette though… :]

Sunday, 6th January 08, 7.37pm – London Heathrow Airport

Nothing really interesting happened, really. Flight was fine. Sandwich was good. I’m actually pretty much relaxed, maybe a bit exhausted from dragging all that luggage with me wherever I go. But I’m fine with that. I’m thirsty but I’m too lazy to stand up and drag all that luggage all over the place AGAIN just to get some water. Oh well. They have water in Scotland too. Alright, I’m gonna go on listening to The Blackout now. Great band if you ask me! See ya soon.

Monday, 7th January 08, 2.33am – My room for the next nine weeks, Edinburgh

So. I arrived here. I’m here watching television and basically just recovering from today. But I kinda fail.
As soon as I arrived in Edinburgh it started to rain. I dind’t really mind, I like rain and it rained in Basel too when I left so that wasn’t much news. I arrived here, still not getting where I am, driving through that scenery that I missed so much. The family I’m in is pretty nice, it’s actually just a Mother and her Son. I talked to her, haven’t seen the son yet. I just hope he hides some WiFi stuff somewhere… My MacBook tells me that there are some networks but they’re all passworded. At least I got internet access in school. Whoa school… that’s tomorrow. Well today, technically.

Anyone ever seen the new Britney Spears vid “piece of me”? It’s on tv right now. I think it’s still crap but way better than gimme more. Like… the way she talks bout being in the media n that everyone wants a piece of her. It’s kinda cool. But as I said… kinda.

Can’t believe that I’m actually gonna go to Edinburgh’s city centre tomorrow! It’s so weird. I mean, I feel like I’m in… I don’t even know. Where the hell am I? Not in my room, that’s for sure.

You know what? You only realise how many clothes you actually have when you desperately try to put them all in one suitcase. It looks more like a boat than a suitcase really…And I almost didn’t get my stuff into the drawers! And there’s four of them! Totally obvious for me… those drawers are just way too small.

Alright, I’m gonna go on watch tele now, speak soon!
…still don’t know where I am though…
